About Us

Mahabhujvedh is a joint venture by Groundwater Survey and Development Agency, Pune (GSDA), Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy, Hyderabad (IRAP) and Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre, Nagpur (MRSAC), supported by UNICEF, Mumbai.

Groundwater level of village wise observation well is measured by Jalsurakshak and is updated on the Web Portal fortnightly by SMS. By using this data, depth to water level maps, monthly and fortnightly hydrographs along with scarcity analysis for identifying phase wise water scarcity prone villages is conducted.

Decision Support Tool is prepared on the pilot basis for the Jiwati taluka.

These real time and online analyses are useful in combating the water scarcity of villages from Jiwati taluka in a better manner.
